Inferences VS. Assumptions
•Define each - Inference and Assumption.
Inference is an educated guess based on textual evidence and personal experience.
Assumption is a determination made with no logical evidence-nothing concrete or objective supports it. An assumption is purely subjective.
•Describe in detail how they are different.

Inference-logical; evidence; more objective ( not fully a face); high-level thinking ( logical)
Assumption-illogical; no evidence; fully subjective; no thinking ( illogical)
( we invent assumption so we do not have to think)

Test evidence ( objective/concrete) & personal experience ( the remembering/ understanding aspect of Bloom’s)
•Where does inferencing fit in Bloom’s Taxonomy?
Analyzing, evaluating and creating

It is useful to draw upon bottom-level of Bloom’s remembering and understanding as well as clues provided.
